Ioana Bartha | Everything from Line + Point

Ioana Bartha is a graduate of the Graphics specialization at the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara, and is currently attending the Master's program in Heritage, Restoration and Curatorship. As an artist, she uses drawing in connection with other media of expression that can increase her level of understanding of existence in all its aspects.

The intervention "Everything from Line + Point" took the form of performative drawing, starting from the principles of Paul Neagu's creation. Concepts such as "hyphen" or "anthropocosmos" formed the basis of some figurations in continuous or fragmented lines, relying on the force of the ritual gesture. The meaning, the order, the complexity will ultimately be reduced to a single point, the search for "the sign freed from meaning [...] which contains only the unmanifested symbolic energy" (P. Neagu, 1996), just like Paul Neagu's hyphen.
